dGB has released Stable Release 2.2.0 of OpendTect. It features a fully functional semi automatic horizon tracker, a very attractive addition to the open source interpretation system. This takes OpendTect from an attribute processing system to a fully fledged interpretation system. Also new are the completely re-engineered attribute engine for more speed, crossplotting of attributes, numerous visual and user interface improvements, and better support for importing and exporting 2D data. |

dGB released stable version 2.0.3 of OpendTect for all supported operating systems. After its initial prototype release, the horizon/fault tracker has been significantly improved. It handles more smoothly, and interpretations are built more reliably. Also two new attributes have been introduced: 1. A seismic Trace Scaling attribute. This takes one of the most commonly applied post processing steps within your fingertips in open source software. 2. The Event attribute. Various properties of events can be mapped an visualised easily and fast. This increases geological insight and understanding of lateral variation in seismic event properties. |
