In total 14 sub-projects are defined, covering visualization and performance enhancements and filling in gaps in the functionality. All developments are in the open source part of the software. | It is our pleasure to announce that OpendTect v3.0.2 is now available for downloading from the download centre. This is a major new release with many interesting new capabilities. Highlights are: * 2D viewer for inlines, crosslines, random-lines and 2-D lines * 2D horizon tracking + 3D horizon generation * Annotations (text, images, arrows) including hyperlinks * Wavelet support (import, generation, convolve attribute) * Flattened scenes * Random line position storage * Horizon algorithms: snapping, filtering, interpolation * Pre-stack data load and view * Auto-load sessions * Load crossline sorted data from SEG-Y or Simple file * Qt4-based, new look * Possibility to use custom icon sets * Trace match attributes for aligning volumes (4D, Multi-azimuth, RNMO) * Shading for improved graphical performance (can be switch off in case graphical card can not support this) * GapDecon (Sponsored by Addax)

The latest OpendTect version features several new functionalities such as multi-attribute displays on inlines, crosslines, random lines and on horizons, a small toolbar in which the inline/crossline position can be shifted and the new fingerprint attribute. It also features a stable version of the Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation System (SSIS) plugin and a full spectrum of tracking capabilities. |
