Visualizing 2D and 3D seismic data

The main idea behind the interface is that seismic interpreters must be able to quickly scan through multiple volumes of data and combine information to get the optimal view of any geological feature of interest. For this reason, data processing and visualization are rigorously integrated in the system.

Visualization elements can be moved freely through data space to interactively analyse data from stored volumes, or data calculated on-the-fly. Visualization elements include slices (inlines, crosslines, timeslices), horizons, random lines and cubes. For better interpretation of the data and analysis results, OpendTect supports volume rendering and stereo viewing.

Examples
Display 2D Seismic lines and calculate attributes on-the-fly, in a 3D environment
Visualize random lines, time slices, horizons, wells, picksets & volume rendered data
OpendTect supports volumes and volume rendering
Display on-the-fly calculated or stored attributes on top of horizons
